Printed Works
This section covers many media, but they are all united by their two-dimensionality. The works in print making date from the fall of 2010 to the fall of 2011 and are each works from different classes in woodblock, silk screen and lithography. The cyanotype pieces are on both fabric and paper, and each one endeavors to explore the tactility of the medium from the 1820s. With the paper collage work I am interested in exploring the different layers and the different tones that are possible when you mix inkjet prints with faded old books. In all of these works I have a digital practice, where I gather images, manipulate them and print them, in addition to a physical practice where I place them together and cut, glue and sew them to the final surface.
