Moments of Thaw
I am in the midst of a new body of cyanotype skin work that is interested in breaking the solid barrier of glass forms. I was recently exposed to the power of magnets and the surreal qualities that they could give to my pieces. Small high-powered magnets make this kind of exploration possible. Many of my ideas for these works surround escaping containment. I have gathered glass bowls, bell jars and tanks and each one of these glass enclosures has a different natural form passing through it.
